blog2blog6blog7Monday June 8 2009. Fourth day of our trip in Kenya.

As many of you know I began the Sunday School in Kenya and ran it for the four years we lived in Kenya. Two years into our time here God sent me a very faithful worker, in perfect time, to help me with Sunday School. Kezzie is a gift from God, really just what I needed. She joined Sunday School and choir and after a while in choir she ended up getting out because she wanted to be able to devote more time in to the Children’s ministries. This is very unusual for anyone, to want to take herself out of a public ministry to be more behind the scenes! She learned things quickly and always did exactly what I asked and more. I knew when it came time for me to leave Kenya that the Sunday School was left in good hands. Kezzie while very smart and great with children still has had a very hard time finding a good job. She works right now at a preschool making about $62 a month. Still she is one of the happiest most joyful woman I know! Her friends, her family, her everything has become Victory World Outreach. She has no where else to go and no one else to genuinely love her. I know she has learned many things from our church and now God is using her to do great things in the children, and this chain will continue!

The people here in Kenya truly are amazing. They really have touched my heart in a way I couldn’t have imagined. Whether walking through the slums or driving through the center of Nairobi you can really feel such a need for God in the lives of these people. It has been really touching to see the places where Pastor Paul, Emily, Alainna, Evan & Reese spent a portion of their lives here in Kenya. God has used them in such a mighty and awesome way to build his church here in Kenya. Just to think of how 4 years ago there was nothing more than a piece of land filled with rock and now there is a beautiful white tent filled with hundreds of precious people serving God. How great is our God!!
